Para empezar, me gustaría explicar la diferencia que existe entre los desodorantes y los antitranspirantes. Los primeros ayudan a eliminar o a cubrir el olor pero no tienen mucha acción antitranspirante, mientras que los segundos evitan la sudoración. Por tanto, al evitar el sudor, los antitranspirantes actúan también como desodorantes.
To start with, I’d like to make a distinction between deodorants and antiperspirants. The former help eliminate or cover odour but don’t have antiperspirant properties; the latter, however, prevent us from sweating. As they prevent sweat, antiperspirants also act as deodorants.
Como ya vimos en mi anterior post, los antitranspirantes suelen siempre contener sustancias nocivas como:
parabenos – utilizados normalmente como conservantes y aluminio – por su función antitranspirante
ftalatos – para que el perfume se adhiera a la piel y perfume – para dar la fragancia al producto
As I already wrote in my previous post, antiperspirants usually contain nasty chemicals, such as:
parabens – normally used as preservatives & aluminium – given their antiperspirant properties
phthalates – so that the scent sticks to the skin & perfume – they give products their scent
